Can someone tell me how much an out of state license is and for what time period it runs? Is it Jan1 to Dec31 or does it start sometime in March?

Dave. Washington Licenses run from April 1- March 31. I'd recommend waiting til April 1 and buy a license unless there are some specific things you wanna do during the remainder of this month. I don't know how much an out of state license is but i am sure it's 50 bucks +

Washington nonresident fishing license runs $42 for the season which, as is mentioned above, goes April 1-March 31. You can also get a three-day license for $8. Punch cards are included.

That's an incredible bargain compared to Idaho -- nonresident fishing license is about three times that much and you have to fork over an additional $12.50 for a punch card. Moreover, you need to buy a card for both steelhead and salmon.

A non-resident yearly license for Washington is just a few dollars more than an Oregon resident license and punch card. In Washington you get a hell of a lot more for the money too!
