Cohoangler's been out of touch the past couple months so pardon me if this question has already been covered.
A couple weeks ago I was at the Portland Sportsman's show and I stopped at a booth where two guys were demonstrating spinner making, selling spinner componets, and informing people about fishing with spinners. I've seen them there in the past so I know they're not a fly-by-night outfit. What was different this year was a sign on the booth that said "Pen-Tac is back!". Puzzled, I asked what gives. The guys indicated they were negotiating with Jed Davis/Charley Rooks to acquire the molds and the techniques for plating spinner componets and would soon be selling them on the open market again. This was news to me. They seemed to be serious about it. They said the company wouldn't be called Pen-Tac but rather it would be called "Dynamic", which reflects the former Pen-Tac label. They weren't sure when the componets would be on the market but they indicated it would be this year.
Does any know anything about this? It seemed genuine to me but I've been known to be gullible at times, particularly when it comes to fishing tackle. If it's true, it'll be nice to know I can replace a #4 silver plated Pen-Tac blade next time I leave one on the bottom of the Kalama River......
