Where did everybody go while I was gone? There isnt anybody here anymore. Was there a bad arguement or disagreement? Where did half the BB go?

RT got banned from another BB (this one...hey does that make it a 'Grand Slam'??) and all those that have not seen the 'Reel Truth' about RT yet followed!! (pun intended!!!)

The Board isn't as busy as it was before his departure but it sure is a much more peaceful place.

Ryan: AND a few others who always seemed to be stirring up arguments. I was lurking on one of the other boards and he was at it again. Some people never learn.

Hey Rich ... Normally, our summer traffic is about 35-40% lighter than wintertime traffic, so things are pretty much the norm there.

Three members of the board were banned in a "spring clean-up" about two months back. Contrary to the rumors these individuals have since spread, the reasons behind the banning were:

#'s 1 and 2 ... multiple complaints about post content, numerous monikers, and a continuence to directly and sometimes indirectly bash I-Fish and its members (see what they are doing right now as example) in spite of posted warnings that such activity would result in immediate banning ... and thus it did.

#3 Posts were made solely to stir the pot, two emails were sent directing user not to. In addition after pot-stirring post was made, I received email from user stating something along the lines of "Pretty interesting topic, huh?" Presto, gone.

Any conincidence that after having to answer loads of emails and delte/edit topics through the spring months, I've only had to delete one topic since the clean-up, and that related to topic that I've only ever one one discussion of on the board: a rowing lesson smile

A much improved situation in my book, we're happy to hear you'll be hanging around Rich!

It's great to have people on the board that share and are helpful. This idea of a very few doing a large percentage of the posting is not a sin but I have to wonder why they think they know so much. For quite some time I lurked and nothing more. I found it interesting to note the posting dates and the time of posts.I have to wonder if they just read about fishing and made those readings the basis of their fountain of knowledge. When they did make it out, now and then, you couldn't hear anything else for days on end.I think it's better this way. A few just couldn't follow the rules after repeated requests to do so as I understand it.
Well, now they have each other. Its summer and traffic is down. Fishing, clamming, crabbing and all that quality time when school is out. Just got to get as much as we can. Sure glad your on the board. Leave one big fish for me! laugh

Well some people are just hard headed I suppose. I stick to this board about 98% of the time. I have been treated well hear the past few years while at the same time being able to say what I need to say.

Thanks Bob.

Hey Rich,

At least there was one thing positive that happened while you were gone. I met your Bro. Good guy. Had a good talk about fishing the salt. Just ask him about the really big guy he met during Memorial day weekend. I hope he is feeling better and has learned a valuable lesson on drinking anything derived from apples wink wink wink . Talk to you later.....

I'm still here, just haven't thought of any ?'s lately. Regarding those departed, I ignored them anyway, so I haven't missed much. I appreciate a respectable discussion, not mud-slinging. There's lots of good fishermen out there to talk to.

Keep in mind that just because the owner of this board posts something does not mean that it is the complete truth! I don't care to get into specifics but just be conscious of the FACT stated above!

No agenda just some support for one of those banned.

Quality over quantity any time...It is a tough job but someone has to do it.

Bob's board, Bob's rules and Bob does rule.
