Well i am trying to pull off on last trip for springers and i was wondering how the fishing has been on the clack. The steelies should be surging in that river, but what about the salmon. Have they been slamming spingers at rivermill?? Help!! Thinking about camping at the park in Estacada and hitting it hard for 3 to 4 days, one las hooraaay! Iny Info would be great, thank you.

Glo,
The salmon fishing is still good, though some are lookin' dark. The steelhead fishing has slowed way down. They're in there, but not hitting. A friend and I fished Rivermill today with hardware and jigs for steelhead....wound up 1 for 2 on springers, no steelhead. Go figure!

Which hole should i concentrate on: Potty, Guage, Barbs, Or rivermill. How is the water looking. What depth they hitting. I will be camping in the park for 4 days if you want to get together. I will be leaving tomorrow morning when i get off grave shift. Was there fishing rolling everywhere. I am dying here :^) Glo Out! laugh

Glo, the best spot up in the park has been at the dam. You will have plenty of Company though. Sounds like you have fished there before so that shouldnt be a surprise. Some days have been real good and others nothing. There have been a lot of Steelhead in the riffles also so dont forget the Steelhead gear. The water has been running to high for the Sh!thouse hole.
