Couldn't go out this Friday - 5HP Honda Tolling Motor (new) in shop for high idle probs. Anyway, has anyone heard anything from Elliott Bay recently and how it's doing? My dad earlier this week said last weekend the Game Dept seen 60+ harvested. Just wanted to see.

Was in the 'hood..so I stopped and asked at 1:30pm.

101 boats checked, 46 fish

I picked up a 10 lb'er this morning. Saw one guy who had two, one 30+lbs and another 20+lbs all by 0700.

Friday night say a few fish caught. Most of the fish seem to get caught on the tide change. Early morning the fish are up high 30-40 feet. Late in the afternoon they are right around 80 feet.

Fished the bay this weekend and did pretty good.
Fri pm 3 hours and hit a 17
sat pm 4 hours and hit a 23 and 16
sun mid day 9-3 6 hours and hit a 28 and 6
All fish were hit at different depths (35-125) and all on bait. There are some big fish out there

Are "they" netting the bay yet?
Where can a guy find out the netting schedule? I searched the web for
netting info & drew a blank.
Would like to get out there this week end, but if they net it's useless.

I don't know exactly what days they are going to net (test fishery) coming up. They did a test fishery the Thursday after opening weekend. I think it is only one day per week and they are only allowed to keep a certain number of fish.

I wish I had kept the article that had that info when I saw it last.

I was told by the fish counter
that last week they netted 277 kings.
The week before that it was 70!,
and the first week it was 32!
Proof that the kings are running behind
as well . As far as when they net I don't
really know, but since I'm working on
the IDX tower down town, I have been
watching the bay, and I'm almost sure
that I saw them today.
