They are nasty! A bright one looks like a giant brown trout. Cut plug herring and K-fish work.

This is probably not a 'eating' fishery. I am approaching it as a 'for fun and practice' fishery. Not everything that is caught has to end up in a freezer or on the dinner plate. cool

I hate to rain on your parade, but those Sammamish kings don't typically fight very well either due to the warm lake water. Try concentrating most of your efforts as close as you can legally get to the mouth of Issaquah creek. Good luck to you. smile

Ewww, trolling around Lake Sammamish in the sun where all those girls in bikinis are running around skiing and getting jostled about...what hell.
I bet you won't even get to break out the Xtra Tuffs and Grundens. What fun is that? If you do go, I'd suggest getting up around 2:00 a.m. and drive around for at least three hours before you put the boat in. Then it'll be more like a "real" fishing trip.

Have fun chasing those bronzebacks...

cool

Roger, BD. I've never done the beach thing up at the top secret island. We'll touch base.
