on opening day i went to the carbon, i grew up in orting and have fished it many years, every year ther are more and more anglers. a good portion are responsable but there are a few that are very careless. in the 3 hours that i was there i saw on guy catch 4 kings #1 thats over the limit but he just let one of his friend punch the extra #2 i know not all were hooked in the mouth. also it is suprizing to me how many legaly caut fish come out of that river, almost unbeleavable. its people like that that turn a good experance into a bad one.

thats one reason why i don't fish the carbon anymore, besides the crowds and all the trash everywhere. its a beautiful river otherwise, i wish it were different down there.

Say jayjos. you being considered a local, since you live close, ought to know that the opener always brings all the yahoos out there. And Stifler, keep in mind it happens to all the rivers with a few exceptions. You can do like I do is not to tell them what the regs. are, but, to remind them. I am not out there to baby sit some of the morons on the bank, but to let them know people are watching. Up high the rivers changed so that some of the drifts that used to be there are not, so eveyone is pressuring the holes that are left. Besides, some of the better fishing comes in a few. Alot of the fish I've seen come up had the fall colors of maple leaves.Should get some brites soon......

Sounds like you were up at the combat zone. The way I see it is, wherever you fish, if there's alot of people there, you are gonna find a few sphincters. I stay away from that area and usually have a good time. In fact, I'll be down there today. I'll steer clear of the c-zone.
