Wow! Is the limit 4 steelhead on the Cowlitz now, or is one of those a coho? wink

I believe the limit is three on the Cowllitz and the NF Lewis. If you assume the photographer was also an angler, these guys are two fish short of a limit.

It's great to see those bright summer runs on my lunch hour from an office building in Portland......

Coho, you're probably right. I'm not here to point fingers. With a caption like the one above however, one could get the wrong idea don't you think?

You think thats bad we had 20 more in the cooler! JK Man you guys love to jump on people! While I don't give a "dam" for cowlitz hatchery brats, I still follow the rules. TWO WERE CAUGHT THE NIGHT BEFORE. I guess I shouldn't post pics anymore?

Hey B,

A novel idea for you to contemplate:

Why not just say 2 were caught the night before in your post!

That way people like me won't have a damn thing to say. wink

p.s. You think the 2 caught the night before will still be good to eat even though the guts were still in them? rolleyes rolleyes

Wow - now you boys are a critical bunch.

I guess your eyes might not be as good as you think - you cant see the belllies on the ones that are gutted already.

Rocket red? Whats that? These fish were all caught on pixies.

You guys are awful good! You can gut a steelhead and the belly cavity is not collapsed, there's no separation of the head from the body at the base of the gills, and no blood! Wow! wink

Maybe you should wait for me at the launch one of these days and I will show you how to #1 a fish, Alaska Commercial Troller style.

Why would you seperate the head from the body just to get the guts out?
Doesnt everyone wash their fish off so the blood doesnt show in the photo?

As long as fish are on ice in my fish box, I dont pop the gills either.

As a matter of fact, I see no point in you guys trying to scrutinize BK or myself, especially considering the fact that I have NEVER made a derogitory comment about anything or anyone that uses this board.

For petes sake, give a guy enough credit to think before he puts up an incriminating photo on the internet.

I agree with you Rooster. Some people need to get off their "I'll find a fault with ANY post" kick.

Jeez, 4S, get off it already. Was that over your limit? Did you use barbless hooks? Is that one legal length? Did you punch that fish immediately?

Go find a more productive way to spend some time, and quit nitpicking every fargin' post somebody makes.

My point EXACTLY!

Rooster, I'm NOT accusing you and BK of keeping more than your limits, just using bad judgement when posting pictures. Dude, You've got 4 steelhead in your hands. The limit is 3. No explanation is forthcoming from BK. Hello! NONE of those fish look processed, they ALL look freshly caught. This got a little out of hand on my part for which I apologize. Sometimes "Hero" photos depicting how many fish a couple of guys can kill even though there is a high limit makes me think back to all of the complaining we do about indians and commercials taking so many fish, yet we think nothing of filling the boat with as many fish as legally possible. (just like the tribes and commercials)

p.s. Dan, Who's nitpicking barbless hooks etc...
I apologized for letting this get carried away. I'm not the Reg Nazi by any means, just a concerned angler who it appears went a little overboard. Sorry, I'll shut up now.

Nice fish Rooster!

Fishing has been good locally at the same place I saw you this time last year. When will Weasel and I see you out there?

Hows this? I'll post whatever I feel like, and you can sit at home pondering whats wrong or illegal, I'll be on the river slayin' fish LEGALLY.

Thanks much, oh and we flossed those fish on the Cow with 6lb. test, very little weight, and sraight eggs, with the kicker off so we wouldn't spook em'. It was wierd though, the hook was always deep inside the mouth. Were we snagging? Ponder some more, we'll go fish.

Peace out laugh laugh laugh

Nice fish, guys. Been down on the Lewis with Keith puttin' the hurt to those 'nooks and slivers. Keep trying to get Rooster to fish with us, but he's been quiet as of late.

You know you've caught too many 'nooks, over the past couple of months, when you get excited about catching your first river sliver of the season! wink
