I have to pick my brother up down in Portland this Friday. I was thinking of heading down early and fishing some rivers down there. Anything happening in the Cowlitz, Kalama or Toutle?

JacobF,

I was down in the Vancouver area on Monday.

Looks like all the rivers down that way suffer from the same syndrome our streams up here.

NO WATER eek Maybe check out the Lewis.

Jacob, I was down playing golf at the Lewis River Golf course last Monday and couldn't help but be in awe of how much water was running. It was higher than it was a couple months ago. But, with the Merwin Dam upstream, flows could be down by now, it might be at least worth checking out. The Kalama is real low but you might find some real bright sttelhead yet upriver of the lower hatchery. A guy at work has been knocking the heck out of bright steelies up there. Just some minor recommendations.
