It sure seems that the more things change the more they stay the same laugh laugh cool

Two fish in the boat within an hour. One at 08:10 and the other at 08:15. Threw back about 5 ???? That were all 20ish inches?? Ended up keeping these two. But I was home before 09:00 and she is on the Que now beer

Anyway:

both were caught between 60' and 80'

One green/ green: Spoon/Flasher

The other green with a abe-n-als

Your mouth was probably full with fish as you typed! Great job! Any chance you can show a beginner some tricks some time? I should be getting downriggers soon and am willing to use my boat......just a thought.

Nice fishies. Saw a 16 lb'er come in the shop from the Bar on the opener. Heard of Blackmouth to 12 lbs today.

hey good job,nice fish at least someone is getting some action beer i just moved here from minnesota in the begining part of july and i have never heard of blackmouth before.could you tell me if they are immature chinook or something else.the tails look like they are more forked than the kings have and the scales look more like the silvers.thanks for any answers i am just curious,later Bruce beer

Blackmouth are just immature Chinook salmon, a 15 pounder is a good sized fish for this time of year around here. They do get bigger, my brother from Kodiak Alaska, catches them up to 30 pounds, he says that they are Kenai stock. A fifteen pound blackmouth caught now will make a fine fall chinook next year!
