heading that way tomorrow and thursday...will those rivers still be fishable with the recent rains??? also, does anyone know the regs, tried calling the ranger station and got the answering machine, will try again in the morning...what i understand is bait is legal on the queets below the mouth of the salmon(won't be an issue for me, i'll be banking it) and is also legal on the salmon itself, 2 hatchery fish limit..i think it will be floats, jigs, and pink worms(and maybe some of my magic eggs!)

I'm sure the big river is gone. The little river might still be hangin' in there ... but looking at both the rain and wind forecasts, I'd skip it. 4-5 inches of rain expected from now through tonight and winds of 65+ mph would make you foolish to be walking around the timbered areas. Maybe next week smile

philpac,
Ususally they leave a few copies of the regs at the big information sign before you cross the Salmon bridge. Also you print them up here
http://www.nps.gov/olym/regs/fish2000a.htm

You can use bait right now in both, I did ok there last week on jigs however.

In the times I have walked down the Salmon to the Queets, I have often wondered what it must be like in there when the wind blows.

Seeing limbs stuck three feet into the ground eek It looks like a friggin mine field.
