Will Frankenfoods get a license to poison consummers with the support of Feds?

I hope the food labeling fiasco is solved to the benefit of the consumer. I'm not so sure that it makes a big difference tho'. So much of our food, especially produce, comes from outside the country. Produce from places where the use of, and type of, pesticide contamination is not regulated or controlled in any manner. Internal labeling laws can't touch the problem.
E-coli was on the 'Dateline" agenda the other night. Those bagged salads you buy have killed some people. E-coli contamination the proven culprit. How does the lettuce get contaminated?
NO IDEA, say the farmers. Maybe birds flew over the fields. Maybe cows crapped in the irrigation water. Maybe some of the pickers crapped in the fields. ad nauseaum.

Reminds me of a local "trailer trash" guy, he bragged about being so smart to put his rabbit cage in the garden so the "fertilizer" was automaticly deposited...........I don't know if their toddler got E-Coli from the garden or from momma's dirty diaper/bottle hands, but it almost died.

I have read somewhere that soap and hot water have saved more lives than all the wonder drugs combined. Probably true.

I'm sure there will be an ecoli pill soon... That will make for some fun commercials.
