Marine Corps General Reinwald was interviewed on the radio the other day by
a female interviewer concerning guns and children. Regardless of how you
feel about gun control this is one of the best comeback lines of all time.
It is a portion of a National Public Radio (NPR) interview between the
female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald as he was preparing
to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to
teach these young boys when they visit your base?

GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery,
and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the
rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous
activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle
discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you're equipping them to become violent killers.

GENERAL REINWALD: Well, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not
one, are you?

The radio went silent and the interview ended.

Try referencing www.snopes.com before posting false urban legends.

If you do a search for "Reinwald" on the above site, you'll see that this is indeed false. Never happened.

Oh yeah, and if you are emailed some crap about a virus, do yourself a BIG favor and check this site to see if this supposed virus is real or fake. You'd be surprised at how people fall for fake virus warnings and end up deleting some important file on their computer because some random person emailed them and told them to do so!

I never said it was true. Beings the interviewer's name and the radio station's name wasn't given I would have to say that it is a joke. I didn't post because I thought it to be true. I posted it cause I thought it was funny.

Who cares if it was actually stated? Doesn't seem to me to make it any less true or funny to me. Great Stuff

My edit: I do think it is not OK to present "statements" as true, if the story is known to be fictitious. The story would have been just as funny presented as a joke.

Even the marines would hesitate before defaming the world's oldest profession.
