Anybody doing the blackmouth opener at Sekiu this weekend?

my brother,uncle,friend and I are all heading up Friday morn. Were staying at the straitside resort. Looking at the last year's winners,it'll take a fish close to 20lbs to win the derby.

Three of us will be heading up Friday morning. Staying at Olson's. We've had 3 money fish in the past 6 Winter and Spring derbys. Have to see if their money is still good. Stop by the boat and say hello.

I'm Sekiu bound on Friday with a group from Sno-King PSA. We are going to have a little "derby within a derby" for our group and a big dinner party Saturday night. Most of us are staying at Van Ripers. I've got Olson's little house above Herb's Motel.

I'll be fishing from a friend's boat named "DOGHOUSE".

Sekiu really does a great job with this event. For the $20 entry fee you get a nice embroidered hat and a lunch - plus, of course, a shot at winning $1K.
