I want to launch my DB on the Sauk river at Government Bridge and take out on the Skagit river. I believe the take out is called "Faber's landing". I cannot locate this on my map. Would someone please give me directions? How long of a drift is this? Any bad spots to watch out for? Thanks!

There is take out in Van Horn area. About 5 Miles East of Concrete on Hwy 20 there is a gravel road. It may be what you are looking for. I think it is called Fabores Ferry and it has no sign.

I don't see it here but there is a launch on the south side of the river at Fabor's Ferry too. It's a right turn off the Sauk-Concrete road. Skagitview Rd. maybe? This is the one I use when floating out of the suck........I mean Sauk.

It's at the red "+" just below and to the left of the center. You can launch or take out on either side of the river but the Hwy20 (north) side is better developed and possibly safer parking.

The one Plunker showed is what I am talking about. ~5 miles E of Concrete.

Hey,
Now that we show you the map and everything you need to give us a report when you get back. laugh wink I fished the Skagit for a few hours today and nothing. I quit when my hands got numb. Beautiful day. Freezing cold, rain, snow on the hills and no one in sight laugh one or two fish could have warmed things up a little rolleyes

Thanks to all for the directions! Depending on river levels, I will be on the Skagit or Sauk on Sunday. I'll let you know how we do. The past couple of weekends we've been getting a few dollys, but no steelhead.

Gov. Bridge to Fabers Landing is a good long days haul, depending of course how hard you fish, check the conditions on the Sauk before you commit yourself for the whole day,the Sauk picked up some color today, with more rain in the forecast,it's quite changeable to snowmelt on the Suiattle, good luck be safe
