Flat water and a hot bite........
wow

I think the 3 most important factors in springer success are timing, timing and TIMING!

Got my new boat all bloody myself - 2 on Friday and 4 Saturday, all keepers laugh Saturday we put 3 of those in the boat in less than an hour before the sun came up, then managed to lose a string of 'em before finally getting the last one. Where I was fishing it was not particularly flat and real rainy, but that's normal, and as long as the bite is hot who cares? Putting in 3 days this week, hope it holds up umbrella

hey carl, were you fishing next to the washington side of the columbia? and is there any access to get to that beach you were fishing by, it looks like good bobber/jig water and how deep would you say the water is?

Yes, we were fishing on the WA side. Where exactly, I don't know. I could take you there but I could not tell you how to get there. I don't know any geographical reference points there. Sorry for the lack of knowledge but it was my first time to that spot on the river.

There was one group of people fishing from the shore. I think they got there by boat though. Most of the boats were anchored up in less than 20' of water.

I will keep you in mind BB75. I did not see any one catch fish on the bank where we were at.

I was curious if the fishing on the Big C is an anchor up and wait thing or if trolling is an effective way to fish? My boat is a 14' Whaler but without a river anchor set up the only way I could fish it would be to troll. Any info would be greatly appreciated. cool

Most boats I saw there were anchored up. One or two boats were trolling.
