I will be heading for Sucia in the middle of July for some Salmon and bottomfish. If anyone knows of any good salmon or bottomfish spots it would be helpful. I hear the north end of Waldron is good for salmon. and the reefs north of Sucia for bottom fish. How about the state parks up there? Any help would be great THANKS

If you fish the point of sucia (on the left side if standing on the dock looking out) there is pretty good ling fishing there, also if you head in the same direction (left) until you get to a second finger on the island there is also another good ling spot. Or just find a rocky shelf. Not sure where to go for salmon but I have gotten ling out of those spots. Or you can look on a map and it will show you spots where to get fish.

smile The state parks at Sucia are the premier destinations in the islands for boat campers and finding a spot will be tough. Parker reef just north of Orcas always holds salmon. Maybe others can help you out on further details. Good luck.

If your king fising, hug Orcas Island all the way from Parker reef down to the east tip of the Island. If you want silvers, you can give Patos Island a try
