I'm headed for Chinook Again in a few days and am looking for some advice.

I have heard of people hammering the salmon down there trolling with spinners.Could any of you guys give me some advice on using this method down there.
I've fished the mouth of the Cow with success trolling spinners but never the lower Columbia.
Can you run them behind a diver,or use a banana weight or dropper or what?
What size weights and length leaders do you use?
What kind of spinners and what colors for certain situations?
I would really like to try fishing this way.So any advice I can get from you guys would be greatly appreciated.The more detailed the better.

I don't use them down there, but if I were to try, I'd run them behind a diver the same depth as the other stuff (10-30 pulls) and go from there. Now reason they shouldn't work. Though, if they were the best thing, I suspect more people would already be using them, as it's hardly an oddball technique. Somebody has almost certainly tried them. In fisheries like that, secrets are hard to keep...

I FISHED BOUY 10 SOME YEARS AGO AND PUT ON A RAINBOW SPINNER LIKE THEY USE ON THE TRASK/WILSON WITH THE LONG PIN ON THE END TO SECURE A HERRING. PUT IT OUT ON THE DOWN RIGGER AND TOOK A SNOOZE AS THE FISHING HAD SLOWED UP, WOKE UP TO A BENT ROD AND BROUGHT IN A 35LB KING. CAUGHT A 39LB KING AT THE OYSTER HOLE ON THE SAME SPINNER. Those B10 fish are swimming around in so much bait that I doub't artificials would work real well, but the reference to spinners might have been to the technique of filleting at large herring and rigging the filet to spin real fast, hence the "spinner". Real effective where most of the fish are eating small anchovies (which is what I use).

Regarding bait at B10, Coyote spoons work just fine down there, so there is no real reason other hardware wouldn't work. Try a green and silver 4.0 or 5.0.
