What I like...

I use smoked salmom, mix it up with some mayo and season to taste. Put in pretty much anything you would like after that. IE pickles, onions... Pretty darn good but I am sure that there are some better ideas on this board??

Add some cream cheese and mayo to the fish. Make sure the cheese is room temp. A little garlic powder and maybe a touch of ground dill.

This is so good, even the crackers you eat them on will thank you.

Better yet, try it on a toasted bagel. hello

The vultures here at work just devoured a bowl of spread I made. Just whip together some whipped Philly Cream Cheese with some broken up smoked fish and stir it together.

It 's really good on a Triscuit or Ritz.

Exactly what I was going to say Dan.
Always keep it simple with fish so you dont overpower the taste with a bunch of other stuff.

Try 3 oz. of smoked salmon, 8 oz. of cream cheese, table spoon of lemon juice, and i bunch of cilantro. Throw it all in a food processor and there you have it.

cream cheese, half that amount of mayo, johny's seasoning, chopped onions, dill, garlic, pepper, chives, tobasco ( yes it gives it a bite just like the fish put on your hook, kind of a pay back thing) use in moderation or to taste, 4-5 good drops does the deal for me. MIX ALL TOGETHER AND REFRIDGEERATE OR A GOOD HOUR AND BREAK OUT THE TRISCUITS.

One smoked pink salmon that was about 6-8lbs before you caught it, fileted it and smoked it. Not sure about weight.

Two packages cream cheese.

Toss the smoked salmon into the Kitchenaid mixmaster with the paddle attachment and break it up into small bits.

Add the two packages of cream cheese and put on mix for a few minutes, adding two teaspoons of dill weed and a teaspoon of chopped garlic. Mix until creamy, pushing the mixture down the bowl from time to time.

Place plastic wrap in a cereal bowl and spoon the mixture into the bowl, using a spatula to remove any air bubbles, packing the mixture firmly. Cover with plastic wrap and chill.

Remove it from the fridge a few hours later and flip it over so the rounded part is facing up. Remove all of the plastic wrap, and you have a nicely shaped smoked salmon ball, actually two.

I usually serve this with some regular smoked salmon, Ritz crackers, and some of those real fancy crackers.

Nummy!

1 cup cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon horseradish
dash of garlic powder
1 teaspoon lemon juice
GOOD STUFF.....
P.S. For those of you "die hards" soak salmon dip in anise oil or the runoff from your latest egg cure overnight for a real taste sensation wink
