Do the regs change Friday? We are kind of looking at fishing that this weekend, but the general regs say that Coho & king fishing will be closed by then. Is this true?

The rumor was indeed true. However, the rumor failed to state that most of the fish are boots......

babbleIf you went to the hump and all you caught was boots, then you need to change holes. Will still be open to keep hatchery slivers and hatchery steelhead after fiday. The truth is though that it is time to start fishing the ------. Chrome bright native silvers that you can keep two a day. One question about the hump though, were you fishing on the hatchery side?

I was fishing the hatchery side about a half mile down near the claybanks. Trust me my friend, they were boots. Although everyone's definition of a boot is a little different. I've seen guys keep black kings on the carbon and dub them "chromers" rolleyes

I came home with two CHROME silvers. I was tossing Little Cleo spoons about 1/4 mile downriver along a log jam. These silvers looked like they came out of the ocean, the only thing missing was sea lice. Were going back Friday with some eggs and a handfull of small spinners and spoons.

buzzboat. Check the regs. You can not keep natives. You can only keep adipose clipped silvers.

Okay, it's official...... I look like an idiot. You can stop now.

P.S. I've got some pics too that a guy emailed me but I have no idea how to post them..
You'll see that mine, while rather large, were in fact MUCH darker than yours.... By the way, nice fish.

there are plenty of good ones, you just have to weed through em or move if you are catching to many boots. On kings you get a nice one out of every ten you hook. On silvers you get a good one out of every 4 or 5 you hook.
The regs change today at midnight, no retention of kings anymore!!!
Thankgod!!!! it will make it much nicer!!!!
Plus I am tired of messing with them for my clients, to much slime and stink!!!!!
