I've been using single siwashes on my spinners and spoons for years. Recently I've been having some fun using hotshots (no I don't have a boat). But the hooksets don't seem to be good and I've lost most of those I hooked.

Anybody have insight on rigging them w/ the single siwash? I imagine the hook should be pointed up like on spoons. Should the hook be larger than one would normally consider appropriate? Also, on the larger, dual hook size should I only use the leading or trailing eye and go with a larger hook size?


Also, I threw out the directions to a couple bobbers I bought before figuring out how to secure them- They have a slit across the bodywith a tube to run the line through and a cap on the end.

Use a swivel as well as the split ring. On wiggle warts, I use a 4 bead bead chain. Works pretty well.
