I know its a little late -- but this is my research for next year.

I hear a lot of people "trolling plugs" in the lower snohomish river for salmon in October.

Is there any particular method to this? should I be trolling with the current or against it? what about any particular side of the river or depth? What about plug types and colors?

I'd appreciate any help i could get on this topic since i'm primarily a salt-chuck angler and would like to try the river.

Thanks in advance! help

Keep in mind that on an incoming tide there isn't much for current so you can troll in any direction you want. Steelhead plugs like hotshots, wigglers, and tadpollies in bright oranges and pinks seem to be popular.

I agree with Cupo, but also try casting plugs either while anchored or free drifting. You may feel like you're on "Bassmasters", but it works. fishy

I just moved to the Everett area and tried the trolling plug thing on the Sno. I found that the most productive areas were 8-15 feet deep with down trees along cut banks. I used wiggle worts, firetiger, and flor. orange were good producers. I hope this gives you some idea, if you think of any other ?'s please don't heasitate to ask.
