Hey all, if the rivers are blown out this weekend, I might go out and fish BM in area 10. Anyone been out there lately and how did you do?

I braved the cold earlier this week. Fished jeff head/westpoint. Saw bait, lots of it, but nothing legal. Best advise I could give is wait till area 9 opens. Tipically do well there with some decent sized fish as well. (i guess that why were gonna try lk wa.)

Can't contribute much Ryley, went out to Area 13 during the cold snap just before the big snow dump and fished around Anderson Island, found lots of bait off Oro Bay but not one damn salmon, not even a shaker frown . Was nice and peaceful anyway, none of that frantic reeling and pulling up downriggers and all rolleyes

The fishing was GREAT! The catching could have used some improvement however........

You might give Meadow Pt a try. I've been able to scratch up a fish the last (2) times that I've gone out.

Well, I fished West Pt. today from 10 to 1. Got about a dozen healthy shakers and unbuttoned what I thought to be a keeper. The reason I thought it may have been a keeper was because it pulled a lot harder than the shakers I had been catching. Oh well, nice day on the water. No wind and no waves. smile

I did not make it out today.

My brother and I will be out tomorrow for sure. We plan to fish Elliott Bay, West Pt and if the water is calm, Manchester.

We will be in my 16' Smokercraft Osprey. Tan/Blue color with a Yamaha main and a Honda kicker. Launching from the West Seattle ramp.

South out of Edmonds to the fuel docks in the Dark.
Set the gear and immediately got a hit...shaker.

Marked quite few fish on the finder and had two hookups with shakers. Nothing of size.

Fished from 7:30-9:00. High tide is right after dawn tommorow...

Fished Elliot Bay this morning from 1st light until 11 with only 1 shaker. Lots of bait and sea lions. Moved to west point for another 1.5 hours with only 2 shakers for the effort.

smile Made the run to Kingston this morning after getting off to a slow start(I lost the prime on my oil line and a quick stop at possesion pt to get some pics of the daybreak) Started at the north end of the bar out in front of Kingston at 8:30 with the intention of working my way south towards the other boats working the the other end. Did'nt even make it 500ft when the rod released and I had my first fish on! Circled around to work the area and had 4 fish on by 9:00am!(of which 2 were keeper size) By this time some of the other boats had noticed the action and were wandering over. There was a bite going on as quite a few of the other boats began hooking up. Lots of shakers so I switched to a plug as I wanted a bigger fish. Things slowed down considerably with the plug but the size of the fish increased. Finally kept one about 11:30 and headed home as the grand kids were coming over in the pm. Not too shabby of a morning! thumbs
