Just wondering what everybody's fovorite river system is. This can be for salmon, steelhead, trout, sturgeon, or other fish. Or it could be a favorite just due to it's beauty. You can pick 2 systems/rivers.

pretty soon we wont have a favorite system to fish (ie.) cowlitz or columbia. Unless the nets are pulled and the fhmp isnt revised or stopped for public comment!!

In the last year I fished 16 different rivers, each at its peek of the run. I like whatever system has fish in it. wink

FJ15, I guess we're even, since my fav drainage got voted for as 'other.'
I meant to list MA 12 on the other poll, but I guess I forgot.

I am thinking that any river that dumps into the Pacific ocean north of the California border would be my top pick . The Rogue being my favorite for large chinook salmon, green sturgeon and steelhead .... . The North Umpqua being my favorite "just got a few hours to fish " river and the Elk river if you are looking for just plain old bad a$$ Chinook with sea lice on their backs in a river you can wade accross ... Heck any river is my favorite as long as I am standing on its banks or drifting its currents in my boat .... Von Warner

1. Skeena - Best drive to .

2. Kamachtka Penisula Rivers in Siberia - Best Salmonid fishing.

3. Amazon - Best Exotic fishing

Scenery doesn't ring my bell. It's whats on the end of my line next that does.

I gusse I should have chosen rivers outside of Washington, but that would have taken too long and there would be too many choices. Still interesting to see what people think though.

Dave: Thanks I kinda like my signature too! laugh BTW I've been mening to ask you this, What do you consider "West Duvall?" I grew up near the elementery school there so I know the area pretty well.

So far I'm the only vote for the Stilly. It's not what it used to be but I grew up fishing it and still love it. Living 10 minutes from the river doesn't hurt either. And there's no jet sleds! laugh
