Got a call last night from one of my Longview fishing buddies and they caught three, yes three, Springers yesterday. One was caught plunking for Steelhead on the Cowlitz and the other two were caught trolling herring at our most productive springer spot from last year. The time is near!!

I have a three day and five day stint open up in the latter half of March to do some serious springer fishing! :p

I am ready!! Even had a dream last night of fishing for 100 pound, 5-foot long, chrome springers last night. Now that was a nice dream.

Umrules,
I have a pretty good idea of where your talking about.I'm going to do a little mod, that I read about on another b.b. on the fuel pump on my sportjet tomorrow, then hopefully a little fishing in the area your talking about. If I make it I'll send you a report.Maybe boost the springer anxiety level a bit.

I got a pretty good idea where you're talking about too. I'm thinking of heading down there on tuesday of wednesday.

I heard willow grove was closed for cleaning. Anyone else hear this?

I will probably have a couple open seats for the maiden voyage if anyone is interested. I'll know for sure by monday.

Glowball,
They are closing Willow Grove the 16th -29th for dredging. You can launch at Gearheart or rainier. Its a little more of a run but not bad.You probably know where Gearheart is but if not let me know and I'll fill you in.

Going to give it a try on the incomer this coming weekend myself, actually fished it one day earlier in February just for the hell of it so I knew I wouldn't miss any - I didn't hit or miss anything but it sure was nice uncrowded fishing rolleyes

And he's one lonely fish right now. They're tearing them up in the Willamette, from the sounds of things.
