wink

Clearly the answer to all the fish problems along with crabbing and shrimping, is to just shut all NON commercial and NON native american harvest down for two years, with the option of shutting it down for more if the problems aren"t straightened out.

By the end of the first three weeks the state including the WDFW would be screamin and by the end of three months the federal government would have the tribal fishing problem worked out.

There would be such a financial calamity in this state the sports fishing crowd could tell both the state and the feds how to handle it.

Since that is not gonna happen maybe the next best thing would be for all the really good fishermen (the ones that catch the most all the time) should just quit fishin all together, an let the inept such as myself who rarely hook up, fish, but have to release all fish. (the hookin mortality rate would go way down,.... lot less caught, lot less released)

The fish cops would know they didn't have to worry about my crowd overharvesting so they could spend all their time writing tickets for snaggin!

confused

LOL. You are funny & right. Since 10% catch 90% if the 10% quit fishing then the other 90% would not be able to do much damage. So the 10%er should scrifice for the good of the fishing community. evil

What a bunch of great ideas thumbs thumbs

Here's another one...
We all stop buying US licenses for one year and go to Canada instead laugh
And we can all mail a copy of our Canadian licenses to Olympia with a letter stating we don't mind spending more money to catch more and bigger fish laugh

I'll start. thumbs laugh

G-man

I am an 1/8 of the way there. Hopefully this summer 1/2 way.

Actually I have been doing a little research I would not mind at all moving to Canada.
