Haven't had a chance to make my annual trip to the mighty hoh this year for nates. Was thinking of this weekend....... Haven't fished it since October before the floods that supposedly wiped out all visibility. Who's been down there recently and does anyone have a vis report that is current (as in today). Don't want to make the pilgrimage if it's still a muddy mess. the flows good but apparantely that's not an indication of the vis this year. I'd be fishing low too, down near Barlows..

I fished it on the 12th, from the Park Boundry to Oxbow. That was a day or two before it shot back up after the rains. The flow was good, but the viz was low. Fishable, but dirty. Got worse as you went down.

Great day to be on the water, but very few fish to show for our efforts. Some fish on the wormie up high, and some fish on plugs down low. A lot of fish would give the plug a small "taste" and that would be it. I bet we had a dozen fish that just gave a small tug on the line, and nothing more. Dirty little fishes! They like to do that in the dirty water on the Hoh.

But, like all rivers, one never knows if this latest freshet brought in some more fish. Probably did.

It will be dirty, but just how dirty, I wouldn't know. I bet it's still pretty pukey.

When i drove over it yesterday, it didn't look good....down low at least.

Maybe Sunday, but I doubt it.
