I was looking at WDFWs website the other day and it said that we are only allowed 1 shrimp pot per person up to 4 per boat.Am I really fogged in or were we allowed 2 pots per person and 4 to a boat in years past?
I cant beleive I cant remember that for sure.Cant find my fishing pamphlet from last year to verify either,

If thats the case, is WDFW trying to make us think their doing us a favor by cutting back the pots we can use in hopes of extending the season a couple days?

This has been the law for at least the four past seasons. You also cannot crab on the canal during the shrimp season.

Actually it was 2 per person and 4 per boat, everywhere except Hood Canal where it was one per person, 4 per boat (pg 128 2003/2004 pamphlet)

....what Haifich said. I'm sure changes are because of the increasing popularity of the PS shrimp fishery.

Edit: Just read the proposed rule changes and it doesn't look like gear requirements have changed from last year although open hours in PS are shorter.

Geez, HuntNfish, you scared me...

But just like past years, it's 2 pots per person - 4 per boat in PS.
