Used Jetsled, what is it worth?

I have a used jetsled that I am considering selling. I was wondering what I could hope to sell it for. The boat is a mid 60's flat bottom lowline with a new interior including fold down paded seats and decking. The boat has a mid seventies Johnson 50hp motor that starts and runs. It comes with an older trailer with very new tires and galvanized rims. I have no experience with selling a boat and could not find a similar boat for sale to get an idea of what it is worth. Any help would be great. Thanks

I would love to see some pictures of it. I'm looking for my first sled, and while I don't have a lot of $ to spend, I do want to get a decent craft.
Yours sounds like it was well cared for.

I think GoHarley is a little optimistic with his $6K figure. If you can get that much for it, take it immediately! Maybe GoHarley will pony up the $$. If it were me, I'd be happy to get $5K for such a vessel and would likely accept something close to $4K. Pick up a copy of Boat Trader or go to boattraderonline.com and search for jet sleds, jet boats, jet pumps, etc., and you can find somewhat comparable crafts, tho I don't think I've ever seen anything that old. Just my 2 cents, but I've made sled shopping a hobby for the last few years and think I have a decent handle on prices around the NW.

How long is it? If it's in the 15'-16' range, and riveted I'd say $4K tops (more like $3K+or-). If it's welded or longer , then a little more. Like suggested above, buy a boat trader and start looking. I think 3riversmarine.com had a similar type sled for sale all winter for around $4k. Now is a great time to sell with taxes and fish returning!

Thanks for all the replies. I will go get a copy of boat trader and look through it. The boat is in the 15' 16' range I am not sure if it is welded or riveted but I will be sure to look into it now. If any one is interested in pictures. I can get some but not untill the weekend. Thanks again for all the help. I knew I could count on the wealth of knowledge of this sites members.

If the boat was built in the 60's then I bet that it is rivited not welded.
Break down the componets, Boat $1000, Motor $1000, trailer $500. Lot's of factors to consider with older boats, but to me it sounds like $2500.
The market will tell you the value to a point. If you ask $3500 and no one even makes an offer or calls, lower the price.

Ok all kidding aside. Take a look at the NADA guide for some unbiased opinion. My experience is a little help from Nada and a little research through Boat Trader cuz a lot of times specialized fishing craft fall a little of the radar of what NADA is tracking. NADA Marine guide

Strike Zone is more realistic. IE: I just traded my rebuilt, 1987 Evinrude 65 jet, w/ tiller handle at Stevens Marine for a 1980 Merc 90 hp w/ jet and tiller. I got $1,700 for my motor. They had a mid 70's, 16 ft flat bottom Alumweld on a trailer, I could of got for another $1,000. I just wanted the motor. Hope this gives you a better idea. Remenber you can get alittle more if you sell it closer to salmon season.
