I'm heading to Nootka Sound this Saturday at o-dark nothing and I've got everything laid out on the garage floor ready to put in the boat. It never fails that I will forget to bring something, but I just can't think of it.
This made me wonder what are the items you forget? Polarized glasses, rod, reels, net, food, drink.........? Maybe you'll mention the 1 thing I've overlooked.
Let's hear 'em.

I always forgot something then I made a running check list on my pc and print it off when I'm ready to pack. Now it's all categorized by in the boat stuff, camping stuff, food, etc.

Now, I've never, ever, forgotten anything...but here's a list that my...uh...friend...has left at home, or screwed up.

1. license
2. pen
3. wading boots
4. hat
5. brought butt from one rod, tip from another
6. glasses
7. extra reel
8. extra line
9. lighter
10. Copenhagen
11. extra contacts
12. directions/map if a new spot
13. cooler
14. entire wallet
15. dry clothes
16. vest with all of my, er, his gear in it
17. boat plug
18. boat seats
19. oars
20. net
21. anchor
22. knife
23. camera
24. bike for turnaround
25. ice for fish, lunch, or beer
26. fishing partner (so excited to fish that I, I mean HE, forgot to pick up his buddy on the way to the river)
27. spare trailer tire

Wow, my buddy sure has forgotten a lot of things over the years!

Of course, 90% of those things are discovered missing only upon the need for them arising...

Fish on...

Todd

Forgot my passport on the way to fish the Vedder two years ago. Caused me a lot of grief at the border because the Canadain Customs Agent wouldn't accept the drivers license. I finally located my voter's registration card and he begrudgently accepted that. Looked like he was not going to let me in to Canada for a while there.

Did you pay the mortgage and power bill? Did you stop your mail?

It is always nice to come home and have lights!

Good luck fishing!

bring a grease gun cause that road into cougar creek is a b!tch, dusty, bumpy and seems to take forever.Oh yeah, if you do forget it, you may be able to get it at critter cove, along with fuel. I got a meal and a hot shower there, along with fuel, was pretty reasonable too.Good luck and have fun, Fishy...........
