I'm heading to La Push this weekend and will be there all next week. Any reports?

I fished there a week ago. We kept three Kings, the biggest was 18LBS, the other two were more in the 10 to 12LB range. Quite a few that didn't measure up. Lot of silvers, most of them fairly good size. Not a lot of people were fishing there and we could only get out one day because the weather turned bad for our second day.

I am hoping to go back the third weekend in August.

Good Luck!

Looks like a nice temp. break line is not to far away.

Hopefully you'll be able to test the waters.

Has anyone ever tried fishing in close at La Push for kings? I'm thinking around Cake Rock or north.

I will usually head out to the Rockpile and was thinking about Umatilla but that will depend on the weather. Any ideas?

We fished about 20 miles North and 13 miles off the coast. Met a couple of guys who fished a short distance out. They picked up a lot of sea bass and caught one salmon. The fishing a week and a half ago was best headed a ways out and North.

Fished the rockpile on tuesday. You don't need to go any farther than that. Lots of silvers. Week before we got 3 kings 20-25lbs. All fish have been caught 40' or less from the surface.
