Went out last night 8/18 at 5pm out at the end of Church School Road. Nothin out there but the swimmers and the rope jumpers.

Went up Lowell Road with no action.

Looks like it will be starting after the next rain.

Yeah I know but you have to be a little specific sometimes the Snohomish come on there is so may runs of fish that go the system. Fall Chinook, Silvers, Pinks, Winter, Summer steelhead I fish the Snohomish since it is 2 minutes fom my house. There is silvers in there right now my buddy drifted the lower run of the Sky last night and caught a few steelhead and silvers he sadi the silvers were small around 4 to 5 lbs but he said they are in there.

Have floated from Lewis St. to Douglas bar twice in the last week. Have yet to see a silver. Suspect what your buddy saw/caught were Humpies. Not Silvers.

Rain...we need Rain! Hopefully this weekend we'll get what we need to freshen things up.

Went out for a little healthy nature walk (fishing rod in hand) this afternoon with Fishkid. We parked at Bob Heirman Park and made our way down the trail to the river. We found a vacant spot and shimmied down the rip-rap.

There were all kinds of humpies jumping and swirling every which way, but we couldn't coax a strike in over two hours of casting a variety of spoons and spinners. Didn't see a single fish hooked among a dozen or so fishermen.

These fish weren't new to the river. Of all the fish we saw flipping and flopping, not a one was any color brighter than mud.

The most entertaining event of our day was watching a guy snorkling around in search of derilict fishing gear.

No tugs on our lines, but a fun time none the less. Always enjoy spending quality time with my boy. Catching fish is just a bonus. ;\)
