Welcome to the frustrating world of Snohomish system coho fishing. Your experience was normal.

I have no problems with the Snohomish in recent years for the Coho. Go to Stockers farm stand and by a pass to fish his land by the soccer fields. I got one and always fish by the Pilchuk river throwing #4 silver blue foxs or larger dick nites I have had no problems. Good Luck.

Fish on

I haven't fished it for silvers in years but it always seemed to me that although they are rolling they do not get aggressive enough to bite until the hole is really crowded with fish. Then they get aggravated or territorial enough to hit. Also I've noticed when there are a lot of leaves floating down stream they won't hit well. Probably because they are spending their time dodging leaves. Plus, in that system I rarely could get one to hit bait. Other systems they will hammer bait but not the Snohomish system.
