Has anyone ever done any good on salmon or bottom fish this time of year? was plannin on headed there this weekend and was wondering if it would be a waste of gas to bring my boat. thanks in advance!

I don't fish that area much, but I'd think it woudl be worth the drive to Keystone (15 miles or so) Nice launch and good fishing still at Lagoon Point/Bush Pt.

There should still be Skagit coho running through there, just fish the big back eddy at North Beach. As for bottomfish, you shouldn't have too hard a time getting the greenling to bite. You'll probably end up getting a few sculpin too(pretty colors). I don't know why, but for some reason the greenling I catch here have noticeably sized teeth.

Oh and you don't need a boat, you can catch fish from the beach just fine. If you fish the big pile of rocks at West Beach there are surfperch. If you fish the sandy/gravelly area south of it, you'll run into coho, flounder/sole, bullhead.

Well tried deception this weekend and have nothing to show for it. gave it all i had and nothing all i saw was one guy bring a chum to the docks and that was all. the water was nice no wind, but it rained quite a bit. will give the rivers a shot next weekend
