My buddy heard from one of his buddys that there are a few chrome chums in there now. Not to sure about the reliability of his source though.

The Indians on the Skokomish river said they have been netting a few for the past 2 weeks. A little early BUT! If you want chums they should be at Johns Creek outside Shelton.

First hand, there were good numbers of chum at John's Creek last night. Got there at low tide and there didn't seem to be anything around. Not a single fish working its way up the creek. As the tide came in a little, scattered fish started jumping and milling around out in the main channel. At nearly high tide, they stacked up near shore on the golf course side, out near the mouth of the creek, like crazy and were suddenly everywhere, crashing around like mad. It was excellent fishing starting at nearly high tide and lasting until just before dark, when they spread all around.

First hand,

I peeked in at the hatchery at Hoodsport last Sunday and didn't see any Chum in Finch creek. Saw 2 old boot kings and 4 old boot silvers in the creek....it's early.
