I don't know how many of you have been lucky enough to catch the flu this year, but if you have , I feel for you!

Still pisses me off that we "don't have, can't get" enough of the vaccine for all the people that want or need it.

Sorry you have it, no time is a good time for it, but this time is always bad......Christmas shopping, etc.

I've been lucky, so far---knock on wood. Most cold/flu bugs are passed hand to eye or nose, so the best prevention is to wash your hands with hot soapy water several times daily. Gas pump handles, storefront door handles, etc. etc. will spell your demise, otherwise.

Sorry to hear that FishGutz. I had it back in early October and then developed bronchitis on top of it. I have already felt your pain and wish you a speedy recovery.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks, and yes I am greatfull that all my local waters are running high.
In my house, washing your hands just isnt good enough. I have one kid in highschool, one in jr high, and one in elementery school. If that aint bad enough odds, my wife is a nurse. I guess there are times when you just don't stand a chance.
I never got sick when I was single, maybe it was the drink'n, maybe it was the smoke'n, who knows? ah, the good ol days............

Try 5 and 7-year olds in day care---the spit swap sickness fest. I'm on guard 24-7. Every other week one of them are sick and on antibiotics. They get a cold, pass it on to me, get over it in three days, and I'm hackin' up a lung for two weeks. Kids: I'm still waitin' for the good times, if ya know what I mean.

After they get old enough to quit giving you all the local bugs they just start handing you the bills. It doesn't get any better till their gone. (I think)

Hey DrifterWa, Do you remember the article in the local paper ? There was enough vaccine for everyone and everyone could have their shot. The only requirement you ask ? You must be an inmate at a Washington State Correctional Institution.

The funny thing about the flu vaccines are they are only good against about 35% of the viruses out there. So if you didn't get one..........you are to bad off, you may have gotten that virus anyhow! They never tell you that part
