Seagra was great, I didn't get any of that "my **** didn't stink" feelin', she did exactly what a deckhand should do...baited hooks and netted fish.
Maybe she didn't like me. She baited my hook once, threw it out in the water and walked away. I looked over the boat to see if it was going to spin and it was hanging by the trailing hook ONLY. WTF? I looked and Winkler and said, "She's workin' on a big tip today."

I thought Seagra was a good hand. She was quick with the net and always seemed to be there when you needed new bait. She hasn't been in the business long enough to become grumpy, and that is refreshing. She deals with complete morons every day. How is she supposed to tell the difference? Especially when the crowd looks like ours did!
I agree though sol that her bait didn't spin like it should have.

Not only did her bait not spin, but she's a damn righty and cuts the plugs as a right hander.

As a lefty, I cut the opposite way, and run the hooks the opposite way. Knife in left hand, bait in right with the fish head facing towards the left.

Totally throws me for a loop when I'm handed a right-handed cut herring. I swear I have to sit there and actually stop and think how to rig up a right handed cut plug. Kills me every damn time! eek

Freakin' righties. Learn to cut a herring *properly*!!!

As someone who's ambidextrous in the self-gratification department, I don't care which way she cuts the bait, but put some F'n angle on it already. Half the bait on the boat was cut almost straight.

Until you let it down and reel it up once or twice. Then the herring cavity looks like the crotch on a sacked-out MILF after running train on a bus load of brothers.

Way to rub it in Stam! Sounds like you guys had a ball - wish I were there.

Kind of funny how helpful the deckhand seemed to those of you that caught fish. I think she could recognize those that were worth it and didn't waste her time on the others. Kind of like a teacher spending all her time with her "A" students. laugh

That said, I think the intentional sabatage of Sol's bait was uncalled for - even the "D" students should have a fair chance.

San Jose is where all the homos who can't afford to live in SF reside.

Your problem is obvious, Sol. You didn't roast out enough.

Seastrike says it was in evidence. Did we have a chain of custody problem, or weren't you paying close enough attention KK? wink

Where was the love? laugh

Have fun up north, KK. I'm heading out on big Lake Michigan on Friday to seek out some chinook and steelhead.

The good thing is, if I go O-fer, I'll just lie about it.

No witnesses. laugh
