Should Rove, Delay, et al be using those pesky "trial lawyers" or defend themselves?

I like how Delay won't settle for anything less than a repugnantican judge, who naturally won't legislate from the bench just for ol' Tommy.

Again stlhd with the Moronic statement. Trial lawyers represent the injured in civil matters. Defense attorneys defend those charged by the state of feds in criminal matters. Delays attys would be defense attorneys.

So now the neocons are defining "trial lawyers". TK, a defense attorney is a trial lawyer. In fact any lawyer who presides in a trial, be it prosecution or defense, is a trial lawyer. Can you please show me the official definition of a "trial lawyer" TK? BTW, I suppose next you'll tell us that defense attorneys never file suits themselves?

Mr. Cochran is a member of the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers and The American College of Trial Lawyers, whose membership consists of the top one percent of trial attorneys in the United States. Mr. Cochran was inducted into The Inner Circle of Advocates, an organization of the country's top 100 plaintiff lawyers. His autobiography, Journey to Justice, a national bestseller written with Tim Rutten, was recently published by One World/Ballantine Books.

TK, I'll save the name calling. There's no need to point out your flaws when you do it so adequately.

Want more?
F. Lee Bailey is the distinguished trial lawyer, author and lecturer. His phenomenally successful career as a trial lawyer has been highlighted by such sensational cases as those of Dr. Sam Sheppard, Dr. Carl Coppolino, the Boston Strangler and Patty Hearst.

Stlhd,
You just like to go in circles. A defense atty can be a trial lawyer if he is trying a civil case. In your opening quote you are referring to a defense attorney because it is a criminal matter. Call the ABA and ask them. Jonny was a whore and would do anything for a buck.

It isn't me talking in circles. Spin and spin TK and you'll still be wrong.
"Again stlhd with the Moronic statement. Trial lawyers represent the injured in civil matters. Defense attorneys defend those charged by the state of feds in criminal matters. Delays attys would be defense attorneys."
Completely and utterly false! No way around it TK. A trial lawyer is any lawyer with trial experience. It's that simple no matter what spin you try to put on it.

Todd will not weigh in because he would have to agree with me. OK Stlhd. next time you get picked up for being to close to a school call a trial lawyer instead of a defense atty. I bet all of his expierience with buiness law . Tort law and associated case law will come in real handy. When you file suit against the oil compnaies for price gouging make sure you find a defense atty with Death penalty expirience. The collection of books that document everything Stlhd does not grow just grew by a few volumes.

actually the "..." meant I was being facetious; the scary part is that some of the Patriot Act observations you made are not that far from reality. Title-3 is now, really, just a formality.
KK, BTW I saw Hutchinson on televison this week too. If perjury is not a "real" crime then why are they "still" crucifying Clinton for it? Eric Alterman (author of "When Presidents Lie") has referred to the current adminstation as the "post-truth presidency" and this really seems to sum it up for the entire group Bush, Rove, Cheney, Libby, Rice, etc, etc..
