I love fishing in the snow especially when its dumping Does the snow keep you guys at home, or are you a diehard? It sure makes for a nice picture at the end of the day too.

I drove and then hiked through 6 inches of fresh snow to fish at first light this morning. Had the river pretty much to myself.

I'm a fair weather fisherman and not afraid to admit it.

I love how quiet the woods are when it snows. And yes I went this morning too.

Fishing in the snow rocks! "Snow Day"="Gone Steelheading." Just need to remember to leave the felt soles at home though.

Fishing in the snow in a drift boat makes it even more in touch with God. Its sooo quiet you can hear Him speak...

Wife took that yesterday morning off the back deck. The shot is upriver, and that water is the Skagit just below the Baker. (First right turn the river makes after the mouth of the Baker.)
Guys, IF your planning on fishing upriver today or tomorrow, BE CAREFUL coming up here. We have snow coming down right now, on top of yesterdays snow. Yesterdays snow compacted in areas on the road, and now there is snow over ice on the roads...dangerous situations for driving. Hwy 20 is OK till you get to Concrete, then ice is patchy in spots, and snowing right now.
SkySteelhead/SummerRun (at least it's your avatar...hope it's you!?) - when you coming up???
Garry (gvbest) and I are going to take her on her maiden voyage tomorrow. Since he has that big 4X4, my hopes are we can pull the boat with his truck and be able to safely launch and retrieve. My Buick would not even get it out of the garage right now with the 10" of snow on the ground...and I'll be lucky just to get the car out to take the wife to work in Sedro.
Today is a day to fix up the new boat with the needed goodies (rod holders, etc.) and prepare the tackle for tomorrow. Garry and I are determined to get blood in the boat tomorrow! (Of course, there will be lots of pics!)
Every time I walk into the garage and see my new "baby", I feel like an 8 year old on Christmas morning finding a new bike under the tree...still can't believe that pretty thing belongs to me!

My folks both started smoking in the early '50s, quit in the early '80s, and are both living healthy and well now (75 years old). You're doing yourself and your loved ones a big favor by quitting.
