Was out duck hunting with my son (13) to day at the mouth of the skok. When the guy that owns the coffee shop just befor Hunter farms on the right from belfair decided that we should not be allowed to hunt there, and started shooting at us with a large cal. Handgun.
You could hear the lead buzzing by as I had my son get down behind a huge log.
The guy was claiming that we were on private land. But he was wrong. I got maps from the F&G and the sheriff that came to the call did too. I have to wait till tomorrow to see what Ted Jackson with F&G wants to do about this, but from my understanding they are pressing charges themselves. I told them that I would, but was informed it was not necessary, due to the fact he discharged a firearm in a dangerous matter to intimidate.

I would ask that every one boycott the coffee shop when you go fishing and hunting there. He has made it clear that he has no regard for human life or care about the sportsman, so why support a guy like that.
I will post up more about this when I hear more from the state police, and fish n game.

Do not leave it up to the police department. Make sure you also file charges. I have seen it too many times that it will be either pled down so as to save court time and resources. This guy could have killed you and your son. You should also sue due to mental stress put apon you. Make this wacko suffer!!!!!

If he was shooting or even pointing a gun in your direction, it would be at least assault 1st or second degree. Trespassing, even if true, doesn't allow that type of force to be used.

i live real close to this guy, and he has had several problems. my friend was logging a small piece next to this guys coffee shop, and he threatened him with his life. the state and county was involved with that one as well. some one should do something about him.

I would definetly talk to an attorney on this one. I know a guy who, in a road rage incident took a pot shot at another driver. Not only did he do jail time he also lost his house and his cars when the guy got an attorney and sued him.
I don't know about you but if I got shot at a couple of hundred thousand dollars would sure help to ease the pain.

The police telling you it's not necassary to press charges is a load of bull, their trying to protect this wacko for some reason (probably a relative or something). Get a lawyer and throw everything you can at him, the fact your son was with you means he will avoid a jury at any cost. Take'em to the cleaners! Please.

The police file charges and it's the prosecuting atty. that decides to press them or not. call the PA for the jurisdiction and make your feelings known. If you have a police report number it helps.

Though it is true that if you are a victim and are adamant about the case being prosecuted, it will help. I have seen many cases die when the victim refused to participate. The state can prosecute a case without the victim's cooperation, but it sure is harder!
