I know most of the hardcores on this site use the Simms guideweights or G 3's, I'm a 10-20 day's a year on the water guy looking for somthing a little cheaper, that will keep me dry while fishing and not soaked with sweat when I'm done (like my 3mm neo's do now ). Anyone using these....? Looked over a pair @ Outdoor Empourium today, got me thinking. This is what the web-site sez about them.. The BLACKWATER will redefine your expectations in a breathable wader. The outer layer of our 4-layer Baretech fabric offers extraordinary cut, abrasion and puncture resistance. The monolithic breathable membrane is protected on the interior with a durable tricot lining. Puncture resistance is enhanced through the addition of a double-layered lower leg below the articulated knee. Packaged complete with our original adjustable wrap Gravel GatorTM, web wading belt and our handy travel bag that doubles as a fanny pack. C/22

I haven't owned either. I love my Dan Baileys though.

I would go with Simms.
Excellent customer service and dependable product.
I have no experience with bare.
You might also look at the Patagonia SST, they are clearing out last years models for $200.
Patagonia has one of the best Customer service along with top notch product; SST is a great wader.

I am a neophrene guy but have been using Bare waders for a long time. No issues. Good stuff. Its time that I get some of the new breathables, but would not think twice about going with Bare based on the performance I have gotten out of their other stuff. Simms seems to tack on 100 bucks just for the name.
