Sometimes it's just pure luck. Here is two steelhead in three casts from Bush Point on the wrong tide (outgoing). Sometimes you just have to get your line in the water.

Nice fish. Did you use the "standard" orange hoochie with chartreuse Spin-N-Glo?

I used the spin-n-glo that is sparkely chartreuse w/pink stripes on in it with the flashy wings. I also had a small pink corky above my spin-n-glo. The hoochie is the orange one and I put another pink corkie inside it between the top hook and the head of the hoochie. Then drenched it in shrimp oil.

Sky-Guy, Did you get a sex change? Just doesn't look like you anymore. Not that I'm complaining.

I figured after 5 years of looking at me, you guys could use a picture of a nice Tarpon flat once seen in Puerto Rico.

Flat is not a word I'd use for that picture.

gilly..I never have fished it from a boat, but I have accidently caught them in a boat fishing for silvers at Lagoon Point, and a couple times in Langely fishing for cutts. Those times were all in late fall with a small spinner and at Lagoon with a pink and white phish lure. But I've never intentionally fish for or caught them from a boat. If you zig-zagged next to the shoreline though I don't see why you couldn't catch 'em from a boat.

I think it's time for me to get new avatar, something close to Sky-Guy's

Thanks for the reply Addicted. I have not done it before, but was thinking of working them like cuts, drifting the shoreline and casting in to the bank with Hoothcies a spin glows.

How long ago was that? \:D Never caught one from the beach, though I'd like to. I have not tried in 6+ years, mainly because I get bored in about 5 minutes. Fishing the beach taught me how much I love to read water. Can you imagine a 20 lb. steelhead in the salt though?

Nice pics addict. Great job.
Bet there are a lot less people out there than during the peak of Humpy season. Do you happen to have a pic of your setup?

There is hardly anybody there now. I haven't seen anybody there since Sunday. Although I've only been there once this week during the high tide. There were several fish caught on Sunday though, so I'd say the Sky is going to be pretty good soon, cuz' there hasn't been this many fish here until now.
