Mine didn't start producing fish until I sanded Vedder's name off. ;\)

Nice rod.

I don't have that model, but I have five other CP's, and all are excellent rods.

Fish on...

FYI: My all-time favorite rod for side-drifting & drift-fishing is the CP X96 LLS. If you haven't fished this rod you owe it to yourself to do so. I've fished it beside my G-Loomis 1141's in both the IMX and GLX, and I like it better. It features a little more strength in the butt-section and is a little more sensitive in the tip section. You can load this rod with a big strong fish and it bends into the nicest parabola you'll ever hold. The same fish will put all the bend into the butt-section of an 1141 while its tip essentaily straightens out.

Try-em, out. You'll like them. We have two lamiglas rods to give away at the SolFly Tourney, and one of them is this rod.

I'll take that X 96 LLS so wrap it up!! I had a X 96 LS & blew it up high-sticking a big chrome chum in Ak. Never have cared for the Imx 1141s that I have fished, that Lami sounds good.

Now to the question at hand, sounds like your going with the Vedder 6-10 lb. rod, I have fished the 8-12 rod & liked it quite a bit. If your going to fish "steelhead only" with your float rod, you might be ok, my 2 cents is any fish over 12-15 lbs. is gonna take the fight to you......
