I'm sure it isn't a surprise coming from me, but I'm glad to see him gone.

I actually think he could have gotten away with saying much of what he said if he just wouldn't have said it so often. I found some of his "personality" entertaining but, to use an analogy, sometimes you just want to eat a nice dinner without someone using the table as a place to body slam people while you eat. He didn't seem to understand the needles in some of the good threads become harder to find when you keep adding feces-tainted hay to the stack.

I don't doubt that he is a true outdoorsman and a capable hunter, capable fisherman, and could rip me into pieces. I enjoyed his fish pics. But I do think many of us could to those types of shots/numbers if we lived in a similar environment. While the quality of fisherman is crucial, it still seems like the number of fish present is the biggest factor on the level of success.

What remarks?! \:\)

Don't talk about me that way Steve.. I'm still here.. ;\)

It's pretty tough to get kicked off of this board ;\) you have to work at it, but, if you talk someone into letting you back in it seems logical that you might want to try to behave above the general standard.....at least for a little while.

IMHO he had nothing to offer in the way of constructive dialogue, he was not informative, he was not entertaining, he was just generally a pain in the ass and now he's gone, boo hoo, good ridance.

Short leash? I thought you were the one who posted to him, 'go get 'em'...

Not informative? Not constructive? You must have missed at least a few of the posts I read, that he authored.

In the past couple years since I started reading this site I've seen numerous examples of people being closed-minded. Some girl even cried about seeing snagging hooks for sale in Ak.

If someone new doesn't throw the proper ego-strokes to the right people, or dares to respond in kind to the jabs thrown by established members, it's all too easy to see what happens. Obviously he didn't fit in, so he gets the boot. Perhaps it's simply clones you're looking for, as new members?

Look at the fag comments generated in this thread...and by whom. 'Jacknob' you say of BigStick/HogDaddy? Any irony there?

Obviously, lacking a high enough post count, one's only permissable response to insults here is 'thank you sir, may i have another...?'

First and foremost rule: if you make extremely little city Bob or Fishgal wonder how much pot-stirring and jabs AT other users you've made each day I come off the water. You're going to have a short life ...

How you reach that point could happen in a number of ways, but I think coomon sense should answer that.

It's MY board, and I make the rules. If you don't like them, take them somewhere else.

I'm sure his lfespan at Alaska Outdoor Journal would have been about 2 posts worth ...

I actually found "TheKing" funny. Along with "Millionaire". If you compare their posts to Big Sticks, there is a difference.

And the, comma thing, was, always funny, to me too.

Right on!...Tbird's here. Wow, this little thread took quite a big turn. Originally this was just an observation that a little good ribbing and sarcasm definately adds to the board, and can be missed, even when there are great reports and pics.
