How about licenses for everyone over age sixty being at resident prices in all states. Every state would sell more licenses than they do at this time, and think of the commerce created by this. I live in washington now but was born and raised in northern michigan, when i went home on a short vacation, i wanted to go fish for whitefish off the harbor piers. I bought one day licenses twice but would have gotten a season license if it had been more reasonable. I was born and raised there and it did not mean a damn thing. I would like to visit and fish in Oregon, and Idaho, and maybe Calif. I know that at the present cost of licenses that I would not get in much fishing, and that is hard on a fishing nut. Have trailor and will travel but dont want to go broke doing it. Lets hear from sosme of the older crowd here and wake up the kids!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting idea...a yearly Federal fishing license for seniors. I'm sure there would be plenty of buyers. When I go out of State I end up just taking my chances

My father in law just got his pioneer license in OR. Still has to buy a tag though. I'm not sure if WA has the same thing. Dad likes to fish in WA also. It would be nice for seniors to get a break on the out of state licenses too.

Compared to golf or other popular outdoor activities, fishing licenses are about the cheapest key to the outdoor gateway there is. Can't really complain.

If you can afford the trip to another state the license, I would think, shouldn't be a problem.

Just not practical, Dave, to go through the hassle of buying a license if you're just stopping alongside a river or lake to eat lunch and relax for a bit before pushing on when traveling. Would be nice to be able to make a few token casts without having to pay for the privilege, if you know what I mean.

I like the idea of milatary people being able to get a federal license for any state, especially since they often are off training in other states other than they're own stationed state. And for people over 60 or some elder given age, that would be great, and it would encourarge them to stay active outdoors even when they are out traveling around. Sounds good to me.

Thank you to those in some kind of favor of my latest strange idea. I think the military folks should get free licenses just for their service to us. I remember when I was an E 3, (low rank to those of you that dont know the military paygrade system) that i was getting a whopping 39 dollar pay check every two weeks. The point is that the pay is pretty low for the younger folks in the military. As for my over sixty crowd, I was not asking for reciprocal licenseing, just that we be able to purchase license at resident fees, obviously I would not bitch about reciprocal agreements, seems Wasington & Oregon could do that pretty easy as our fish and game are about identical. Aunty M, thank you for your kind words about our military folks, and I can remember a few times when a free invite to fish would have been nice, though was usually to busy with work or study to do anything other than eat & sleep.
