The thought just ocurred to me that I haven't received my punch card in the mail yet. Am I missing something? Anyone get theirs yet?

Not yet But ya know I will be crabbing WITH or WITHOUT a punchcard ..it isn't my falt they don't have there act together.

I made the mistake of having my wife order her license on-line last year....UGH. Didn't receive the punch card. What a drag. I took me bride and went crabbing anyway. Recorded her catch on a sheet of paper. Was just waiting for The Man to write me up, but it never happened. Probably just as well, as my mouth probably would have gotten me in hot water.

But if the Dept. fails me again this year, I'll be doing it "my way" again...times two.

Stop by your local license agent and have them print up your CRC for you as mentioned in the press release. You don't have to wait for your temporary to arrive.

When you get them (there are two - summer and fall/winter) make sure you fill out the correct one.

What a friggin joke! I moved from Port Orchard last year and now living in Chesapeake, Virgina till my wife finishes her career in the Navy. I retired in 2003 and now follow her around till she's finished. Anyway, here in Chesapeake, you can catch a bushel of crab a day per person...NO PUNCH CARD.

Up here in my neck of the woods crabbing doesn't open until July 15th so I'll wait and see but if I am near GI Joe's (now "Joes") I'll ask for my permanent one. Every time I hear about the "temporary" or "mailed" card it makes me think I am getting that thin "reciept paper" grade punch card. Those suck! What quality/grade of paper is the card people are picking up if they buy their liscence today? Is is any better than last years?

It sounds like it will be a paper receipt and not waterproof. You'll want to trade it in on a regular CRC printed on the same paper stock as your license. May as well go by the license agent (any agent should be able to make the change) and get a "real" one.

DD - you might get them by the bushel basket, but it takes almost that many to make a meal......

You should have introduced yourself. I have problems with names, but I think I recognized you.

I got mine in the big envelope today too. One thing, or should I say two things missing......my under-15 kids didn't get their free CRC's in the mail like I was told. I gather I need to go back in to get their permanent CRC's as well as trade mine in for the permanent one.

That is what you need to do.
