Just looked at the DOE website for the Sol Duc. Not sure how to translate cfs to boards, but it is running just under 1500 cfs. When you go into the DOE site, you can choose different river basins (WRIA) in the state. Often, the DOE site is downstream from the USGS gage. If you live close to a river, looking at both can help you decide whether to fish upstream (behind the peak flow) or downstream (before the crude hits the lower river) https://fortress.wa.gov/ecy/wrx/wrx/flows/station.asp?wria=20

That must be why so many fishermen are waiting for the river to get up and into shape

Floating down her now as I am typing this. Great color. and vis. About 7 boards and holding steady.. Seriously though, Some of you guys are so quick to jump on people trying to get an idea of the conditions of rivers. It is not like Forks is just around the corner for most of us. I thought that was the purpose of a board like this. I dont mind to spend the time to go up there and not catch a fish. Just want to know if the river is floatable/fishable. A 3 hour drive up to find out the river has no flow, or looks like chocolate milk is disappointing and expensive. My 2 cents..

SKY?SNO?DITCH?OLY?LAKE WA? whats the hotspot . page 3 on the board. milton response to the question was "go find out yourself" just 1 example of what I am refering to. Not evryone has all the money in the world to exhaust, or the time away from family to spend. So when you do go, you want to give yourself the best shot.
