My Mom lives on Purdy lagoon-last Sep was there and there were lots of rolling Salmon-will they take anything with a hook?Tried many different flies and did land a beautiful sea run cut,but no salmon.Any info on fishing this area would be great.

depends when in sept. there is a good chance that it could have been the kings that are going to the creeks at the far end of the lagoon or some of the silver that go to the same creek.
If they were the kings, good luck. Those things usually get caught with buzz bombs in the side.
The silvers on the other hand will take flys but not as readily as other fish in the south sound. Try something like a karluk flash fly or some hareball leeches and maybe some bait fish patters.
Good Luck,
Justin

slow stripped knudson's spider... with either a chartruese chenille body and mallard hackle, or a golden pheasant crest tail, dubbed caddis green body and pheasant rump hackle....
good luck.

watch the regs too for that area. very restrictive seasons and gear requirements when it is open to salmon fishing, including a fly fishing only for only hatchery coho during a certain period
