Just heard "Death Magnetic" from the upcoming new album. Sounds like the old Ride the lightning/ Master of Puppets stuff. They really started to lose me after Cliff Burton died, and the last few albums have been pretty tame. This one is supposed to be back to good old fashioned brutal in your face metal and the first song I heard did not dissapoint.-T

I haven't listened to it yet, but what you said is consistent with a few reviews I've read. When I saw this though, it made me want to listen to Slayer more.



If you haven't checked 'em out yet I'd recommend Mastodon. Especially nice whilst driving the OP in the winter.
