Actually he gave me his new number. I just wrote it down someplace and I haven't seen it since. Oh wait. I just looked at my phone. I have it there. Senior Moment. Never mind. I think.

Can't knock a fish off with an axe? Damn. There goes my secret strategy. Back to the drawing board.
I strung up a couple of rods last night. I wound up going with the "Cars" themed model. Pretty techy. The drag actually makes a clicking sound instead of a sick moan and groan like the others.
Of course I should have guessed they only make these cartoon rods in right hand retrieve. Talk about adding insult to injury. I can't use a regular rod with my left hand, let alone one of these kiddie toys. Might as well just make a rule that outlaws the use of both hands while fishing while you are at it.

Might as well just make a rule that outlaws the use of both hands while fishing while you are at it. all 4 hands. it's actually an orchestrated team effort, one person to hold the rod and crank in any slack that the other team member manages to gain while handlining in the fish...the oars are the tough job, keeping the boat between the fish and the enemy is imperative. My first src I met robbo when kev had a fish on as we were driving by below the clawah, rowed over to attempt to steal, made the mistake of approching from downstream, I think robbo actually cracked my boat when he rammed it. I left. tough game stam I believe it was that same fish Robbo's & Kev's boat was fighting that we floated right by those guys and never noticed the fish they had on, we even had a conversation on the way by(Rooky mistake). Later that day we we had two boat converge on our only fish of the day, there were three nets all banging together and by a miracle in end up in our net(Beginners Luck).

If you're talking about '05, in the vicinity of the refer hole, the first boat on you was us. Cracked me up trying to pass below you when we notice that one of you guys were trying to hide the rod behind your leg with a fish on it. I think I actually saw the fish shimmering in the water before I noticed your rod. Must say, that was some pretty quick thinking and impressive boat maneuvers on your part. The second boat I believe was Kent and the Tres Rio's crew. Fun Stuff.

Kent still doesn't understand how it end up in our net, he though for sure they had it.

Yeah Jaydee, actually it was a white Lavro and when I hooked the fish the POS drag on the snoopy rod that I was using at the time basically gave out and couldn't even handle a 4 pound brat. Then you guys came bye. At this time I had not taken Kev's course on "how to hide a 'FISH ON MF' with a snoopy rod course 101 for idiots" so I did the best I could but Reo or you or Eli caught on. Then here comes Reiter Rat, BNelson and company in another boat marching to the theme song from that scene from " Apocalypse Now" when the helicopters attack....oh great I think. So now I'm doing 270 degree swings away from the fish then swinging back at the fish giving it complete slack line so I can pick up maybe 5 feet of line. I can't stop laughing (too much Yukon) and things are looking grim until CraigO switches places with me, gets the net and comes through in the clutch. Bottom line....fish in the Sky Valley boat....that's all that counts. The '05 SCR was the sh't. Oh...and hey Jaydee...did you guys rethink your having a pump action paint ball gun VS our semi-auto as you rowed away?

Beezer. If it were up to me, that pump action toy would've been, A: left in the truck or in the dumpster at the Pacific Inn. Or B: at the bottom of the Bogey the morning of. I personally take no responsability for that . That would fall on the hands of the gentleman that ended up with welt from a paint ball on his left cheek soon after our attempted netjob . And I'll leave it at that. Hiding the rod behind your leg was classic. See you guys here in a couple of weeks.

I watched Bob get in *1* cast on a Snoopy rod last year before the reel exploded and was completely useless. Barbie and SpiderMan better not let me down this year. Honestly, if you're on the shore and you hook a fish, you're just better off putting the rod over your should and walking back up the shore until the fish is landed. Nate does a really good job at getting a sockeye in to the net on a Snoopy Rod. OTOH, we were allowed to use 30 pound braid...... http://video.msn.com/video.aspx?vid=83c17496-ed16-4770-8ab6-2cad92884f3a

Wouldn't it be nice if the brats in the Bogey were as thick as the reds in the Kenai. Me thinks the tone of the SRC would be a little different. Good form guys. The old flip and drag is looking pretty deadly on the 2.5 foot rod! Parker, just like your love life, it's all in the wrist buddy
